Joudeh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves lands a leg kick that knocks Gracie off balance momentarily.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Alves.

and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gracie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alves after a bit of a struggle.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yay cracks Gutierrez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gutierrez shoots in looking for a takedown. Yay tries to sprawl out of it but Gutierrez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gutierrez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yay.

and Gutierrez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Yay misses with a kick to the body.
Yay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close round but I would say that Sir Jecht will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Takatukka finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Jecht's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Takatukka falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Our winner, Sir Jecht, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
