Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leon Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kim's choice of entrance music: Ode to General Kim Il Sung. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Kim bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kim lands a nice looking body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ali as he avoids it easily.
Ali lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dumas circles away quickly and effectively.
The fighters circling - Ali throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dumas fails to land the takedown.
Ali works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ali looks to score with a jab to the body but Dumas is just out of range.
Dumas tries to clinch but Ali is having none of it.

Dumas takes the fight into the clinch.
Ali lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

It looks like Con Dumas has been cut.
Dumas is trying to pull guard but Ali turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Ali creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Ali is looking to control Dumas's arms but Dumas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ali has his back to the cage.
Ali swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Dumas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ali uses from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Ali got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dumas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ali has managed to get both his arms back between Dumas's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh but Dumas is tightening it up a little... Ali has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ali reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ali taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dumas!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Con Dumas!

Nakano shoots in for a takedown but Rotterdam shows good takedown defense.
Rotterdam scores with a one two! Nakano had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Rotterdam is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nakano.
Rotterdam misses with a hook.

Nakano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
