The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Average shoots in for a double leg but Muntz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Muntz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Average counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Average is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Average seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Muntz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Muntz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koji Okano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cane comes into the arena with Rob Zombie - What blaring out of the sound system. Okano comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Aalto - Resolution kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Quentin Cane had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Quentin Cane had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

I think DeBlunt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Westside Connection - Bow Down. Leshley has chosen Step into a World as his entrance music. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
