The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guns throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lombard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Guns is in Lombard's guard.
Guns lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Guns postures up in Lombard's guard and throws a big left but Lombard blocks it.
Guns is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Guns controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Guns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lombard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guns throws a big right hand that misses.
Guns postures up in Lombard's guard and throws a big left but Lombard blocks it.

Guns drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Guns seems to have locked his on tight now - Lombard screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Guns, as he picks up the win!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shizuka Uesugi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Uesugi throws a sloppy head kick and Black moves out of range easily.
Uesugi scoring well with a low kick there.

Uesugi throws the kick towards the body but Black avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Uesugi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Black has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Black and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Uesugi looks to land a left hand but Black moved out of range nicely.

and Uesugi counters with a good low kick that Black was not able to check.

Uesugi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Uesugi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Uesugi throws a leg kick which misses Black's front leg but catches the back leg as Black tries to avoid it.

Black manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Uesugi on his heels. He'll look to pass Uesugi's guard now, I'm sure.
