On his way into the cage it seems that Blue Steel has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Blue Steel seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Steel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maniac is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Steel, into his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Maniac is just riding it out for now. Steel eventually gives up the hold.

Steel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Maniac defends it well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A very excited looking Blue Steel rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Saitou holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
