That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cory Smith.

Hamfist jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rad tries to land a body kick
and Baba counters with a stiff right hand.
Baba throws a hook to the side of Rad's head but Rad sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Baba avoids the body shot from Rad.
Rad tries to clinch but Baba is having none of it.
Baba scores with a nice body kick.
Kickin Rad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baba throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Baba throws the kick towards the body but Rad avoids it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Baba crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rad - the referee stops the clock and Baba gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rad. Baba manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Rad throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rad goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rad throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Baba throws a jab but it's blocked by Rad.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rad.
Rad takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Baba misses with an uppercut. Rad saw that one coming.
Rad misses with a body kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Baba.
An inside leg kick from Rad misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baba on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Baba throws a nice looking combination but Rad bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baba works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rad wants to pass the guard but Baba is keeping the position.
Rad passes Baba's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Rad is looking to take a break and control but Baba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Baba is trying to get back to full guard.
Rad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baba does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rad throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rad wants to pass the guard but Baba is defending well.

Kickin Rad has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Baba moves out of range of the body kick.
A clash of legs there as Baba blocks the low kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rad misses with a wild body shot.
Baba takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Baba.

Rad looks to throw the jab but Baba is out of range.

Rad knocks Baba to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Showhey Baba has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Baba tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rad wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Rad in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Baba is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rad off and has taken his back!
Rad tries to escape but Baba has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rad turns into Baba and is now in his guard.
Baba keeping moving, preventing Rad from controlling successfully.
Baba has his hands on Rad's head, controlling the position.
Rad postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rad works Baba's body with a nice hook.

Rad rushes Baba and presses him up against the cage.

Rad successfully pulls guard.
Rad tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Baba wants to control from the top but Rad keeps moving.
Rad bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baba's guard.
Baba pulls Rad in close to prevent any damage.

Rad controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Baba can't keep his opponent in guard - Rad advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Baba is refusing to be controlled, as Rad sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kickin Rad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Baba's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Baba finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rad misses with a body kick.
Rad lands with a right hand.

Rad content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rad throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Baba is looking to control Rad's arms but Rad gets an underhook and turns him. Now Baba has his back to the cage.
Rad controlling the action here for a moment.
Baba tries to circle away but Rad has him pinned against the cage.

Baba stalling in the clinch.
A knee to the head by Rad.
Rad tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Baba avoids it.
A head punch on the inside from Rad fails to land.
Rad throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rad crunches a lovely knee into Baba's ribcage.
Rad working Baba over with knees to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rad connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Baba goes down! Rad jumps into full mount looking to finish!
Rad has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rad loads up with a big shot that hurts Baba! He's pulled Rad in close but Rad has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Baba survive? More strikes from Rad and Baba is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kickin Rad! Kickin Rad retains his heavyweight title!
Kickin Rad really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Reaper Combatwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
