The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira misses with a takedown attempt - Lajic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lajic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lajic has Vieira up against the cage in a clinch.
Lajic using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Vieira has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

It looks like Rodolfo Vieira has been cut.
Lajic tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Vieira's elbow.
Vieira wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Vieira tries to pull guard but Lajic forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Vieira misses with a takedown attempt - Lajic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Vieira turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Vieira manages to end up in side control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

I really don't envy Lajic right now.

Lajic has hold of Vieira's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

Vieira throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lajic escapes and throws Vieira's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lajic remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lajic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vieira but Vieira pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bastos enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bastos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
