The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Mughal throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Matlock throws a looping overhand right but Mughal ducks down to avoid it.
Matlock moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Matlock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Mughal throws a jab but it's blocked by Matlock.

Matlock scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mughal in his tracks.
Matlock is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Matlock misses with a low kick as Mughal jumps back.

Mughal with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Matlock to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mughal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Matlock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Matlock drops Mughal with a beautiful combination! Mughal stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Matlock is looking for the KO!
Mughal is rocked!
Mughal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Matlock's head backwards.
Mughal is still on wobbly legs! Can Matlock finish him?
Mughal gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mughal tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Matlock is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mughal buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mughal!! Mughal is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Matlock throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Stepaneks gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Freely to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Freely throwing strikes from guard but Stepaneks blocks nicely.

Stepaneks wants to sweep here but Freely controlling him for the moment.
Stepaneks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stepaneks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Freely can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
