Burton is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Wi's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Wi was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Schneider kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is LMFAO - One Day. Hogin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by real american. Schneider is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hogin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Schneider is breathing heavily.
Hogin misses with a looping right.

Hogin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schneider's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hogin connects with a nice short shot to Schneider's temple.

Hogin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schneider is just riding it out for now. Hogin eventually gives up the hold.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hogin lands a nice short elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hogin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
