The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nguyen enables Kourdakov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nguyen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nguyen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kourdakov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kourdakov throws a strike but Nguyen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kourdakov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nguyen is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kourdakov has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nguyen is looking to defend but Kourdakov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nguyen! Kourdakov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nguyen taps out and this one is all over!

Gleiser lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gleiser checks a leg kick.

Lee throws the left hand but Koreshkov avoids the punch easily.
