McCarthy has chosen little boxes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Phil McCarthy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Salace stalling away here and it's allowed Luther to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Wonka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Quinn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wonka somewhat.
Quinn thows a body shot but no joy.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Quinn, as that shot connected.
Quinn thuds a left hand into Wonka's body.
Quinn throws a shot from downtown. Wonka moves away and avoids it.
Wonka wants to slow Quinn down by chopping away at his legs.
Wonka shoots and misses
and Wonka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Willy Wonka has been cut.
Wonka walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Wonka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quinn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wonka moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Quinn has worked his arm free - good work by Quinn!

Wonka goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Quinn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wonka's guard! Nice work there by Quinn!

Wonka looking for subs off his back but Quinn has passed one foot through into half guard.
Wonka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Quinn with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Quinn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wonka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wonka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quinn pulls his head out easily.

Wonka tries to roll over but Quinn keeps him under control.
Quinn wants to free his trapped foot but Wonka is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That was a close round but I would say that Willy Wonka will probably get the nod.

Quinn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quinn lands a nice hook to Wonka's body. Wonka takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Quinn tries to bum rush Wonka with a series of wild strikes but Wonka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wonka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Quinn's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wonka is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Quinn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Quinn has escaped and now he's on top!

Wonka has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Quinn is defending well but eventually Wonka manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Quinn has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Frost checks a leg kick.

McGowen rushes Frost and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Frost misses with a knee strike.
Frost blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
McGowen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Frost is defending well for now.

McGowen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Frost walks away with a smile on his face. McGowen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jamison McGowen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
