Jack Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Hammer, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Hammer against the cage but Hammer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hammer feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Hammer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts fails in his attempt to clinch.

Francisco rushes Watts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Watts is trying to maintain a safe position but Francisco gets an underhook and turns Watts into the cage.

Watts ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Watts no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Francisco throws an elbow that misses. Watts uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Francisco's guard. Nice move by Watts!
Francisco wants to stand but Watts is controlling the position.
Francisco has control of Watts's left arm, preventing Watts from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Francisco is wriggling around but Watts manages to pass to half guard.
Francisco tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Watts has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Francisco is wriggling around trying to escape.

Watts is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Watts!
