The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong tries to clinch there but Davis circles away.
Horrible takedown by Armstrong or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis which made him look bad.
Davis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis throws out a leg kick but Armstrong moves out of range and Davis only half commits.

Davis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Armstrong tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Davis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Armstrong is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Armstrong has escaped and now he's on top!
Armstrong wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.

Armstrong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Davis has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Armstrong off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis connects with a body shot that sends Armstrong's belly button to the back.
Armstrong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Davis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Catfish Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugh Armstrong.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davis swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Armstrong rushes Davis and presses him up against the cage.

Davis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Davis closes the distance and clinches up with Armstrong, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes Armstrong against the cage but Armstrong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Davis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Davis moves into range and clinches up with Armstrong.
Armstrong lands a damaging elbow.
Armstrong is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Armstrong is fighting off a takedown attempt but Davis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Armstrong to the mat. Armstrong regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Davis wants to pass the guard but Armstrong is keeping the position.

Armstrong wants to control the pace but Davis is squirming around nicely.

Armstrong shoots in looking for a takedown. Davis tries to sprawl out of it but Armstrong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Davis is nestled in close to Armstrong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Davis has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Davis is landing with some decent strikes but Armstrong is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hugh Armstrong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Catfish Davis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

DuMaine shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Nazario takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - DuMaine sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Nazario bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

After the fight, Hector DuMaine was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Bastard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

TT knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bastard on the ground.
