Tamalito leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Tamalito, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Tamalito against the cage but Tamalito circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tamalito bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Rico Gracie has been cut.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shanir Shackioorhan!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shackioorhan shoots in but no luck this time.

Murray displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shackioorhan.
Lee Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shanir Shackioorhan.
Shackioorhan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murray's waist but Murray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shackioorhan off to one side.
Murray lunges at Shackioorhan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shackioorhan's hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shackioorhan moves out of range as Murray strikes.
Shackioorhan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Murray ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
No joy there for Murray, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shackioorhan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shackioorhan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Murray is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Shackioorhan.
Murray tries to bum rush Shackioorhan with a series of wild strikes but Shackioorhan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shackioorhan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Murray cracks Shackioorhan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Murray has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shackioorhan to stand back up!
Shackioorhan is still on wobbly legs! Can Murray finish him?
Murray dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shackioorhan looks winded!
Murray closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Shackioorhan out cold! Shackioorhan corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
