The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Griffin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Griffin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Griffin has Silva in his guard.

Fontaine shoots in looking for a takedown. Riddle tries to sprawl out of it but Fontaine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Riddle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Riddle tries to work over Fontaine's front leg with a kick but Fontaine checks it.
Riddle throws a series of punches but Fontaine moves out of range.

Riddle stalks Fontaine and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fontaine's face. Fontaine staggers backwards, shaken.
Riddle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fontaine looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fontaine shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Riddle pinned against the cage. Riddle gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
