The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zed throws a wild body kick that Nostro sees coming a mile off.
Zed lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nostro circles away quickly and effectively.
Nostro has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zed finds it's way round the side to connect with Nostro's head.

It looks like Vincent Nostro has been cut.
Nostro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zed throws out the jab.
Zed lands a nice hook to Nostro's body. Nostro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Nostro shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zed manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brooks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
