The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Magnus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Magnus comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lorenzo Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Magnus takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Magnus counters with a nice uppercut.

Magnus lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Magnus lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Magnus takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Magnus lands with a shot to the body.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Magnus throws a pinpoint strike between Silva's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Silva crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Magnus scores a great knockout victory!

Parra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Contreiras has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parra has managed to get both his arms back between Contreiras's legs - danger averted.

Parra has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Contreiras to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Parra is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Contreiras pulls down on the head and he's put Parra to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Somchaimy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Somchaimy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sonnen. That did some damage!

Somchaimy is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Sonnen flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sonnen is out cold! Somchaimy holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
