The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Ferreira or perhaps it was just good defense by Luan which made him look bad.
Luan tries to clinch but Ferreira moves out of range.
Ferreira tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ferreira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luan's waist but Luan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferreira off to one side.
Ferreira shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Luan defends it nicely.

Bitag working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bitag uses his free foot to push down on Sedfenor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sedfenor.

Bitag is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sedfenor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sedfenor shrugs it off.

Bitag is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sedfenor is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sedfenor flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bitag anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sedfenor and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bitag slips an arm under Sedfenor chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bitag has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bitag is squeezing on Sedfenor like an anaconda would it's prey. Sedfenor fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
