Lii has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Odinson uses from the top position.

Luke Lii has got the better of the ground game so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Odinson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lii has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Odinson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lii.

Lii tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lii has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
