Benson shoots in but Balboa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Balboa pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Balboa rushes Benson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Balboa manages to break the clinch.

Balboa lands a big head kick that sends Benson tumbling to the mat! Balboa takes a step backwards and waves Benson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Nick Benson has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Benson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Balboa is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Balboa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Benson's guard.

Benson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Balboa is breathing heavily.
Balboa jabs Benson right on the nose. Benson blinks but takes it well.
Benson shoots for a double leg takedown but Balboa sprawls well. He's pushed Benson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Apollo Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Balboa counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Balboa looks at the referee who does nothing so Balboa lands a crushing right that sends Benson to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
