The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omppu just misses with a punch to the body.
Omppu closes the distance and clinches up with Darklance, looking for a takedown. Omppu pushes Darklance against the cage but Darklance circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Aatami Omppu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Omppu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Darklance quickly recovers to half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Darklance is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Omppu pulls his head out easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Omppu is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Darklance has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Omppu is looking to defend but Darklance has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Omppu! Darklance pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Omppu taps out and this one is all over!

What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Desmond Miles was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Siltanen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
