I think Palowakski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Burning Down the House. Pudzianowski has chosen Pudzian Band - Dawaj Na Ring as his entrance music. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quantrelle Jackson.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hester looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hester shoots in looking for a takedown but Pavlik manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hester's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hester is stalling here. Pavlik is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hester seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pavlik has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hester can do anything to dispel that myth.

and Pavlik counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Hester off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Pavlik follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Hester was out before he hit the floor.

Tuning throws a shot to the body.
Funaki shoots in looking for a takedown. Tuning tries to sprawl out of it but Funaki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tuning manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Funaki dives in and grabs Tuning's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tuning pushes down on Funaki's head and hops out.
Tuning connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Funaki tumbling to the canvas! Tuning pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Funaki was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tauno Tuning!
Tauno Tuning decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
