We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pavlovic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rivers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rivers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vendetta blocks a jab.

Oooooh!!! Vendetta has knocked McCaw down with a huge combo! Vendetta steps away and waves a wobbly McCaw back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Richie McCaw has been cut.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vendetta throws a nice inside leg kick.
McCaw has a takedown stuffed.

McCaw throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vendetta was covering up waiting for the punch and McCaw finishes the takedown easily into guard.
McCaw postures up.
McCaw postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McCaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McCaw looking to sit in guard and control but Vendetta gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McCaw drops his hands momentarily. Vendetta doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. McCaw staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. McCaw doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
