The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Oliveira.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oliveira tightens his grip and picks Vanko up, before dumping him to the ground. Vanko manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ivan Vanko's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Vanko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
No joy there for Oliveira, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vanko shoots in looking for a takedown. Oliveira tries to sprawl out of it but Vanko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oliveira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
