The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoover gets the takedown into side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoover works to advance to full mount. Nagendra defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Hoover lands a big shot there that rocks Nagendra but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Nagendra is bucking up trying to escape but Hoover cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hoover is landing with some decent strikes but Nagendra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
BOOM! Hoover connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The cut above Montgomery Nagendra's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hoover thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Nagendra tries to hold on but Hoover pushes him away.
Hoover postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Nagendra badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Hoover around the waist but Hoover pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Hoover is the winner by TKO! Hoover jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edgar Hoover!

A very excited looking Edgar Hoover rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
