With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Reece Edward Duenas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rege closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rege is looking for a kimura but Duenas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rege to get the leverage.
Rege controlling the action here.
Duenas tries to get to full guard but Rege has control of the leg.
Rege wants to stand but Duenas has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Rege moves into full mount! Duenas won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rege manages to capitalize on a mistake by Duenas to take his back!

Rege gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Rege apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Duenas pushes off an throws an elbow but Rege leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Unigu Rege.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rege, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Grant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duece Delta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otto Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delta comes to the cage accompanied by the tough guy song. Maddox has chosen Institutionalized - Suicidal Tendencies as his entrance music. Duece Delta had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Otto Maddox has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Delta feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
