Lamas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aldo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Lamas is nestled in close to Aldo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Lamas is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Aldo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lamas gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Aldo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lamas lets go of the hold and Aldo can pop his arm back in it's socket.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Oliveira.
Oliveira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roberts is fending him off so far but Oliveira persists. Nope, Roberts circles away and we're back to standing.
Oliveira shoots in but Roberts avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Oliveira misses with a body kick.
Oliveira tries to clinch there but Roberts circles away.
Oliveira walks into a straight right hand from Roberts.

Roberts shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Roberts showed some decent athleticism there.
Roberts with the ground and pound but Oliveira uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Roberts throws an elbow that misses. Oliveira uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roberts's guard. Nice move by Oliveira!

Roberts pushes Oliveira off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Oliveira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Roberts shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Roberts was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oliveira has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Roberts. Oh but Oliveira has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Roberts goes limp - he's gone! Oliveira jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
