Merchant misses with a takedown attempt
and Ashworth counters with a head kick. That will keep Merchant thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Ashworth misses with a low kick.
Ashworth wants to clinch up but Merchant keeps it at a distance.
Ashworth moves out of range of the body kick.
Merchant is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ashworth.
Merchant dodges the punch combination from Ashworth.
Merchant misses with a body shot.
Ashworth throws a right and a left that Merchant avoids nicely.
Ashworth fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Merchant manages to avoid it.
Ashworth avoids the body shot from Merchant.

Ashworth gets a clinch.

Ashworth breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ashworth shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ashworth was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Merchant keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Ashworth wants to free his trapped foot but Merchant is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Ashworth is looking for a kimura but Merchant is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ashworth to get the leverage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toosc misses with a looping right.
McKinney moves out of range of the strikes.
McKinney tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Toosc paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McKinney throws a nice looking combination but Toosc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

McKinney throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Toosc was covering up waiting for the punch and McKinney finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McKinney looking to pass the guard.
Toosc knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McKinney on the ground.
Toosc is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McKinney seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Toosc wants to hit a switch here but McKinney passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Toosc there!
Toosc is looking to improve his position but McKinney isn't that keen on the idea.

McKinney is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Toosc is forced to tap! Great finish!

A slow jab from Roto misses its intended target.
Siloposki lands with a straight right. Roto didn't see that one coming.
Roto throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Siloposki sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Siloposki thows a body kick. Roto tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Roto misses with an uppercut.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Siloposki.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Siloposki closes the distance and pushes Roto back into the cage.
Siloposki lands with a light punch inside.
Nice body punch from Siloposki - that landed with a thud.
Roto looks winded!
Siloposki lands a body punch in the clinch.

Siloposki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Roto takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Siloposki lands a body shot.
Siloposki closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Roto! Siloposki dives in looking to finish! Roto is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Oh, that's a big right hand from Park and Snake goes tumbling to the canvas! Park follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like Solidus Snake has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Snake looking for submissions off his back.
Snake tries to roll over but Park keeps him under control.
Park missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Snake wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like Park is going to stand back up.
Snake is controlling Park's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Snake trying to hold on to Park's head to control him but Park postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Park is looking for a kimura but Snake is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Park to get the leverage.

Park stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Snake to get to his feet.
Park tries to close the distance and clinch but Snake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Park throws the left hand but Snake avoids the punch easily.
Park throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Snake crashing down! Snake tries to stagger back to his feet but Park just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Snake asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Williams maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Synephrine could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Williams has cracked it and Synephrine is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Williams!

Mullard tries for a takedown but Charcoal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Charcoal connects with a single shot there.
Charcoal looks for the body kick but Mullard saw that one coming.
Mullard misses with a double jab.
Mullard tries to move into range but Charcoal moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Charcoal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Charcoal throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Charcoal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mullard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mullard takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Charcoal buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mullard fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Charcoal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Charcoal scores with a nice strike.
Charcoal loads up on a big right hand but Mullard slips the punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mullard takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Charcoal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mullard's head.
Charcoal throws out a powerful jab.
Mullard misses with a looping right.
Mullard tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mullard doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Charcoal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mullard's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mullard fails with a takedown attempt.
Mr Charcoal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Mullard.
Charcoal connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Andre Mullard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Charcoal uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mullard has time to react.
Mullard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Charcoal thuds his right hand into Mullard's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Charcoal fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mullard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Charcoal is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Charcoal lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Charcoal scores with a nice head shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Charcoal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Charcoal catches Mullard with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Charcoal connects with a body shot.
Mullard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Charcoal was well out of range. Poor timing from Mullard.
Mullard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Charcoal moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Charcoal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Mullard is rocked!
Mullard looks winded!
Charcoal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mullard is still on wobbly legs! Can Charcoal finish him?
Charcoal loads up on a big right hand but Mullard slips the punch.
Charcoal throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mullard ducks under a wild hook from Charcoal.
Charcoal misses with a straight right.
Mullard seems to have recovered his senses.
Charcoal steps in with a hook that catches Mullard right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Charcoal follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Mullard looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr Charcoal!
