I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Christmas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Christmas does no damage.
Christmas circles away from the clinch attempt

and Christmas counters by moving into the clinch.
Christmas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stanky 's efforts to push away.

Stanky is fighting off a takedown attempt but Christmas is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stanky to the mat. Stanky regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Stanky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Christmas stays in close to Stanky 's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christmas forces his way into half guard.
Stanky is in trouble now - Christmas has advanced to mount!

Mccoy forces Reponen back against the cage and clinches.
Mccoy digs a right hand underneath Reponen's ribcage. Reponen let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Reponen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mccoy gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mccoy gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mccoy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mccoy in particular looking to stall.

The crowd seem to be enjoying Burishkov's choice of entrance music: Not a step back. Juyt Calhan looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Burishkov lands a left and a right that send Calhan crashing to the mat, dazed. Burishkov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Juyt Calhan has been cut.
Burishkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oh Calhan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Burishkov jabs Calhan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Burishkov throws a front kick aimed at Calhan's knee but Calhan avoids it well.

Calhan moves to clinch but Burishkov breaks away
and Burishkov counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Loken pivots and extends the arm, Label falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Loken! Well done that man!

Saunders not doing much here.
Almeida won't allow Saunders to pass to mount.
Almeida tries to roll over but Saunders keeps him under control.

Saunders creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Almeida sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Saunders is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Almeida looks calm but he's in trouble here. Saunders gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Almeida is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Saunders lets go of the hold and Almeida can pop his arm back in it's socket.
