Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: That's the shit I don't like. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson circles away from the clinch attempt

and Thompson counters with a head kick that drops Smith to the mat! Smith scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Thompson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Thompson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Diego Smith has been cut.
Thompson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Smith is out of range and Thompson settles back down.
Thompson feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
Thompson seems to be stalking Smith here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Smith drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
