Springs doesn't manage to clinch there - Heed circles away.
Sam Springs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Joestar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Scaletta uses from the top position.
Scaletta wants to stand but Joestar is controlling his posture from full guard.

Joestar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scaletta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Scaletta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joestar on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Scaletta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joestar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scaletta has managed to get both his arms back between Joestar's legs - danger averted.

Joestar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Scaletta doesn't defend quickly enough and Joestar has managed to lock this one up! Can Scaletta escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Joestar on a fantastic submission victory.
