The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahkenaton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diotte feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gorawski's calf.

Diotte stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Diotte connects with a body shot that sends Gorawski's belly button to the back.

Diotte lands a left and a right that send Gorawski crashing to the mat, dazed. Diotte thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diotte takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Gorawski cracks Diotte with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Gorawski throws a leg kick which misses Diotte's front leg but catches the back leg as Diotte tries to avoid it.
Oh Diotte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gorawski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diotte's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gorawski stands and throws Diotte's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Diotte tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Diotte will probably get the nod.

Well Gorawski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
