The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordo shoots in for a takedown but Kent shows good takedown defense.

Gordo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kent to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kent not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Gordo is looking to stand up but Kent isn't so interested in that idea.
Kent is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gordo is trying to keep Kent in close.
Kent content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kent stays in close to Gordo's body and controls the position.

Gordo lands with a hook. Kent tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gordo shoots in looking for a takedown. Kent tries to sprawl out of it but Gordo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
