The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort avoids the head kick by Devlin.

Devlin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Belfort is trying to defend but Devlin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Devlin drops an elbow to the side of Belfort's head.
Belfort is refusing to be controlled, as Devlin sits in half guard.
Devlin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Devlin thows a huge punch but Belfort dodges it nicely.

Devlin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Belfort's face.
Devlin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Belfort wants to hold on but Devlin pushes him away.

Devlin is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Belfort goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Devlin!

Yatsubuta comes to the cage accompanied by Sweet Child O' Mine. Dulin has chosen 'Anything Could Happen' by The Clean as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Dulin slips a jab and a cross from Yatsubuta.

Dulin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Yatsubuta tries to get to full guard but Dulin has control of the leg.
Dulin not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Yatsubuta looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dulin wants to pass to mount but Yatsubuta is defending the position.

Dulin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dulin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Yatsubuta bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Dulin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yatsubuta's guard.
Yatsubuta is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dulin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yatsubuta swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dulin tries to free his leg and advance position but Yatsubuta is retaining full guard.

Dulin drops back looking for a leg! Yatsubuta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yatsubuta manages to kick Dulin off! Dulin jumps back into Yatsubuta's guard.
Dulin is looking to advance position but Yatsubuta has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Yatsubuta wants to stand but Dulin is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Yatsubuta thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Dulin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Yatsubuta is looking to advance position but Dulin won't allow it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yatsubuta throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dulin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yatsubuta as he jumps to the side.

Dulin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yatsubuta was covering up waiting for the punch and Dulin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Yatsubuta is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Dulin locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Yatsubuta is forced to tap!

Leonardson lands a leg kick that knocks Mac off balance momentarily.
Mac fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Leonardson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mac is able to avoid easily.
Mac shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Leonardson counters with a series of strikes. Mac will be more careful next time no doubt.
Leonardson swats away the attempt to clinch by Mac.
Seano Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leonardson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mac circles away quickly and effectively.
Leonardson throws a head kick but Mac moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Leonardson is trying to trip Mac. He has hold of a leg but Mac is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Leonardson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Leonardson stands and throws Mac's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Leonardson works to advance to full mount. Mac defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Mac should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mac has left one of his arms exposed and Leonardson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Mac screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

We're going to have a standup here because Marcus Gronholm wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Gronholm tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice takedown defense from Gronholm. No joy for Angelo on that attempt.
Angelo cracks Gronholm with a right hand to the side of the head.
Angelo dives in and grabs Gronholm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gronholm pushes down on Angelo's head and hops out.

Angelo tries to move into range but Gronholm moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Suezo Angelo has been cut.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Gronholm feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Angelo sprawling to the canvas! Angelo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gronholm finish him?!

Angelo is rocked!

Gronholm sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Angelo's defenses. It connects perfectly with Angelo's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marcus Gronholm!
A determined Marcus Gronholm didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Kasparov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Winslow.

Kasparov walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Kasparov limp body while Winslow jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Will Scarlett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Justice.
Scarlett connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Justice! He's out on his feet! Scarlett rushes in and drops Justice with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Narushima wants to stand but Stapleton is controlling his arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
