Fatu uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Manfred throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fatu lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Manfred falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Stevenson shoots in but no luck this time.
OMalley looks to land a combination but Stevenson avoids it well.

Stevenson ducks right into an uppercut from OMalley.
Stevenson tried to score with a low kick but OMalley checks it.

Stevenson fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Stevenson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stevenson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Stevenson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, OMalley rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Stevenson's guard! Nice work there by OMalley!
OMalley wants to get up but he can't break Stevenson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OMalley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stevenson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, OMalley has managed to get both his arms back between Stevenson's legs - danger averted.
Stevenson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stevenson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
OMalley tries to stand but Stevenson is controlling from the bottom.

OMalley stands and steps away. Stevenson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
OMalley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stevenson slips a jab and a cross from OMalley.
Stevenson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stevenson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. OMalley defends it nicely.

Stevenson throws a body kick that misses.
OMalley scores with a decent looking hook.
Stevenson takes a swing at OMalley's ribcage but misses.
Stevenson throws a wild hook but OMalley just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Stevenson gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - OMalley raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike OMalley!
Mike OMalley retains his featherweight title!
