A head kick by Hammer - that's a beauty! Neville is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Hammer can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Avalon both land. Nice combination.

Avalon dives in and scores a takedown into Barbarossa's guard.
Avalon wants to control from the top but Barbarossa keeps moving.

Avalon has gone for a leg lock! Barbarossa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Avalon's guard.

Barbarossa decides to stand back up. Barbarossa steps back and let's Avalon get back to his feet.
Avalon throws a series of punches but Barbarossa avoids them all with ease.
A cross from Avalon lands.
Avalon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Barbarossa.

It looks like James Avalon has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Avalon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Avalon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barbarossa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Avalon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barbarossa.
Avalon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barbarossa manages to avoid it.
A punch combination from Barbarossa misses.
Barbarossa needs to keep his hands up - Avalon had a free shot at his head there.
Barbarossa fails to land with a series of punches.
Avalon misses with a straight right.
The crowd cheers as Avalon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barbarossa doesn't seem phased though.

Avalon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Barbarossa was covering up waiting for the punch and Avalon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Barbarossa is pulling down on Avalon's head to control his posture.
Avalon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barbarossa gets back to half guard.
Avalon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Barbarossa's head.

Avalon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barbarossa is just riding it out for now. Avalon eventually gives up the hold.
