Korba avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Korba throws a jab but it's blocked by Pinochet.

Bot feints and then cracks Drone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Drone down.
Bot stuffs the takedown attempt from Drone. Drone gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like Fusion Drone has been cut.
Gable Bot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bot motions for Drone to come forward. Bot throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bot moves forwards but Drone connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Drone throws a leg kick that misses.
Bot connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Bot lands a big shot that drops Drone! Can he finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bot postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Drone covers up, he's hurt! Bot keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bot and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bot can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Li throws a leg kick which misses Arvanitidis's front leg but catches the back leg as Arvanitidis tries to avoid it.
Arvanitidis lands a lovely overhand right.

It looks like Xiao Long Li has been cut.
A left lands for Arvanitidis.
Li throws a body punch but Arvanitidis moves out of range.
Li throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Arvanitidis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Li - the referee stops the clock and Arvanitidis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Li. Arvanitidis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Li lands a nice looking body kick.
Arvanitidis gets in close and tags Li with a short punch that almost sends Li to the mat! Oh Li is in big trouble! He turns his back on Arvanitidis, trying to create some distance but Arvanitidis rushes him, striking wildly and Li goes down! The referee tackles Arvanitidis into the cage to end the fight! Arvanitidis is one violent man!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The One Armed Man lands a leg kick that knocks Alighieri off balance momentarily.
Good work by Alighieri as he checks the leg kick.
Alighieri moves out of range of the strikes.
Alighieri throws a leg kick but The One Armed Man checks it.
Alighieri takes one to the side of the head.
Alighieri lands a jab.
Alighieri takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

A decent looking cross lands there for The One Armed Man.
The One Armed Man looks to score with a jab to the body but Alighieri is just out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alighieri wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The One Armed Man wants to slow Alighieri down by chopping away at his legs.

Alighieri swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The One Armed Man takes a swing at Alighieri's ribcage but misses.
Alighieri on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The One Armed Man throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alighieri.
The One Armed Man drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Alighieri closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alighieri lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alighieri postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The One Armed Man is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alighieri, into his guard.

Alighieri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alighieri throws a strike but The One Armed Man rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Alighieri is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tristan Alighieri wasn't active enough on the ground.

A punch lands to the side of The One Armed Man 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Alighieri lands a nice shot that snaps The One Armed Man's head back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The One Armed Man's corner calls for a 1-2. The One Armed Man obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Alighieri lands a left and a right that sends The One Armed Man crashing to the canvas! Alighieri dives into mount looking to finish!

The One Armed Man is rocked!

It looks like Joe The One Armed Man has been cut.

The One Armed Man is looking to improve his position but Alighieri isn't that keen on the idea.
Oh The One Armed Man is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alighieri is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Alighieri postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked The One Armed Man badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Alighieri around the waist but Alighieri pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Alighieri is the winner by TKO! Alighieri jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tristan Alighieri!
As Tristan Alighieri got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Through me you enter into the city of woes. Through me you enter into eternal pain. Through me you enter the population of loss. Abandon all hope, you who enter here.'.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carpet Chair!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Fall!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chair sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fall somewhat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Chair throws a hook to the side of Fall's head but Fall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good exchange - Chair coming out on top.
Some bone on bone action there as Fall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Fall shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chair but Chair pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fall looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Chair!

Fall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Chair is trying to control Fall's posture but Fall avoids it.
Chair is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fall is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Fall advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fall sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Fall pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like Carpet Chair has been cut.
Fall avoids the attempt from Chair to control.
Fall scoring with strikes but Chair is staying in there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fall landing strikes from the mount.

Chair is rocked!

Carpet Chair's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carpet Chair's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jack Fall! Jack Fall retains his welterweight title!
A less than humble Jack Fall misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
