A looping hook to the body misses from Pelano. Godfrey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pelano swings for the body but Godfrey moves out of range.
Pelano is looking to wear down Godfrey with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Pelano throws a right and a left that Godfrey avoids nicely.
Godfrey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Godfrey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pelano.

and Godfrey counters with a crisp right hand that drops Pelano! Godfrey lets Pelano back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Godfrey might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Pelano throws a sloppy head kick
and Godfrey counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Pelano off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Godfrey follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Pelano was out before he hit the floor.

A relieved looking Hubert Godfrey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Thomas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Thomas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. IV looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Thomas! Submission of the night perhaps?

Beast feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
