Chimera tries to clinch up but The Mathematician circles away and keeps his distance.

Larsson swings for the body but Laz moves out of range.

Laz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Laz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Laz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Ross looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between martin loft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine has chosen Stupid KId as his entrance music. martin loft had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 137.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ray Machine enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machine shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Machine showed some decent athleticism there.
Machine seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but loft does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Machine not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
loft pushes Machine off looking to stand but Machine dives back in and keeps control.
Machine has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
loft on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if loft tries to get out of the position.

Machine is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. loft is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. loft flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Machine anticipates the leg and manages to get behind loft and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Machine slips an arm under loft chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Machine has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Machine is squeezing on loft like an anaconda would it's prey. loft fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Tarinashi misses with a series of wild punches.
Gaard misses with a double jab

and Tarinashi counters by moving into the clinch.

Tarinashi manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Tarinashi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gaard lands a left and a right that send Tarinashi crashing to the mat, dazed. Gaard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Tarinashi is rocked!

It looks like Teppi Tarinashi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Gaard knocks Tarinashi out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
