A jab lands there for Monko.

Joaquin feints and as Monko raises his hands in defense, Joaquin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Joaquin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joaquin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Monko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joaquin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Schmidt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zerkle to the ground. Schmidt is now in Zerkle's guard.

Zerkle is looking to sinch up a triangle. Schmidt throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Zerkle's body to avoid the submission. Zerkle has instead reached around Schmidt's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Zerkle arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seamon pulls out of a head kick attempt.

NcDemomnd bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

NcDemomnd swings around for an armbar but Seamon sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into NcDemomnd's guard.
Seamon wants to pass the guard but NcDemomnd is keeping the position.

NcDemomnd is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Seamon defends well.
Seamon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

NcDemomnd postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Seamon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of NcDemomnd, into his guard.

NcDemomnd is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Seamon is aware though and is defending well.
NcDemomnd is breathing heavily.

Seamon has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing NcDemomnd to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Seamon is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - NcDemomnd pulls down on the head and he's put Seamon to sleep! This one is all over!
