The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jerez shoots and misses
and Knytmare counters with an inside leg kick.
Knytmare fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jerez shoots in and drives through. Knytmare sprawls well.

Knytmare feints and as Jerez raises his hands in defense, Knytmare changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Knytmare slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Knytmare wanted to stand there but Jerez had control of the position.

Jerez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Knytmare controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nik Knytmare.

Jerez fails with a takedown attempt.
Nik Knytmare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Jerez.
Knytmare throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jerez.
Jerez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knytmare tries to avoid it but Jerez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knytmare to the ground. Knytmare escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knytmare wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jerez, who protects the arm well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jerez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Knytmare wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerez closes the distance and clinches up with Knytmare, looking for a takedown. Jerez pushes Knytmare against the cage but Knytmare circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Knytmare lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Knytmare thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jerez if he has to take too many more of those.

Knytmare tries to bum rush Jerez with a series of wild strikes but Jerez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Knytmare feints and then cracks Jerez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jerez down.
Knytmare shoots for a takedown but Jerez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck for Jerez with that takedown attempt.

Knytmare throws a right hand that Jerez ducks under and follows up with a left that Jerez also avoids with ease.
Jerez wants to clinch up but Knytmare keeps it at a distance.

Knytmare feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Knytmare moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Knytmare shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jerez eats them both and turns towards Knytmare to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Knytmare shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jerez as he avoids it easily.
Jerez is trying desperately to land a takedown but Knytmare is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jerez.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knytmare is looking to take a break and control but Jerez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knytmare is nestled in close to Jerez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well Knytmare has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Smith Weston shoots in looking for a takedown. Ovaska tries to sprawl out of it but Smith Weston keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ovaska manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Smith Weston should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ovaska cracks Smith Weston with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ovaska has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith Weston to stand back up!

Ovaska plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Smith Weston to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Smith Weston just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Abaddon throws a big uppercut that drops Madsen! More strikes from Abaddon and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Madsen lies dazed against the cage as Abaddon celebrates with his cornermen!
