Herman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but White manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Herman swings around for an armbar but White sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Herman's guard.

White is posturing up here but Herman has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! White tries to roll out but it's too tight and White has to tap! Slick submission there by Herman!

Poletto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Howlingate, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Howlingate slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Howlingate pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Poletto back to the ropes. Howlingate follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Sandro Poletto has been cut.

Howlingate catches Poletto napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Poletto to the canvas!
Poletto can't keep his opponent in guard - Howlingate advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Howlingate is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Poletto sees it coming and defends easily.
Howlingate wants to stand up but Poletto has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Poletto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howlingate. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Poletto is trying to get back to full guard.
Howlingate tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Poletto lands a big head kick that sends Howlingate tumbling to the mat! Poletto takes a step backwards and waves Howlingate back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Howlingate is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Poletto Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Howlingate is out cold, face down on the mat!

Peri blocks a jab.
Richardson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jeff Richardson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peri dives in and grabs Richardson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richardson pushes down on Peri's head and hops out.

Richardson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peri looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Richardson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peri keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Peri's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Richardson is working to tighten is grip on Peri's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Peri has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Richardson is really squeezing tight and eventually Peri passes out! Richardson breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
