The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hook crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lineker - the referee stops the clock and Hook gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lineker. Hook manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hook tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lineker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hook somewhat.

Lineker looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Lineker backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hook's temple! It sends Hook violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Lineker celebrates and the doctors try to help Hook!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kirk Lazarus.
Well Kobashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
