The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kraneos tries for a takedown but Acosta sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A jab lands there for Acosta.

It looks like Rompe Kraneos has been cut.

Kraneos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Acosta's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Acosta is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Acosta is breathing heavily.
Kraneos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Acosta swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kraneos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Goncalves.

Phillips remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Phillips is working to tighten is grip on Uzumaki's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Uzumaki has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Phillips is really squeezing tight and eventually Uzumaki passes out! Phillips breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

After the fight, Mark Phillips was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Esmeraldo Ramacciotti.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramacciotti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Hemingway breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
