Sloggett shoots and misses

and Pashik counters by clinching up.

Pashik slaps away a takedown attempt from Sloggett, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pashik scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sloggett in his tracks.
Pashik scores with a one two! Sloggett had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Drew Pashik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Sloggett.
Sloggett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pashik as he avoids it easily.

Pashik lands a really nice looking cross but Sloggett seems unphased.
Pashik fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No joy there for Pashik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pashik circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sloggett to the canvas! Sloggett doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Pashik keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cristi slaps away a takedown attempt from Reichwein, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Reichwein shoots for a double leg takedown but Cristi sprawls well. He's pushed Reichwein's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cristi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Reichwein backs up against the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cristi is defended easily by Reichwein.
Reichwein tries for a takedown but Cristi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lazar Cristi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konstantin Reichwein.
Reichwein shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cristi sprawls well. Cristi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reichwein gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reichwein.

Reichwein darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Reichwein wants to work for an arm triangle but Cristi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Reichwein is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cristi trying to hold on to Reichwein's head to control him but Reichwein postures up.

Reichwein wants to work for an arm triangle but Cristi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Reichwein is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Reichwein moves into full mount! Cristi won't be happy about that!

Reichwein throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Cristi has his hands clasped together but Reichwein breaks the hold and Cristi is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Reichwein!

Petrovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bansa blocks a head kick by Petrovic.
Petrovic takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Petrovic lands with a kick to the temple. Bansa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Petrovic throws a sloppy head kick
and Bansa counters with a big head kick but Petrovic shrugs it off.
Bansa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Petrovic can pounce on him.
Petrovic throws a solid leg kick but Bansa takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Petrovic.
Bansa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petrovic connects with a solid leg kick.
Petrovic lands a big head kick that sends Bansa to the canvas! Petrovic follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Black closes the distance and clinches up with Grant, looking for a takedown. Black pushes Grant against the cage but Grant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Grant connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Grant comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Grant moves into the clinch successfully.
Black is working for takedown but Grant is calmly controlling the position for now.
Grant is trying to break the clinch but Black has him pressed against the cage.
Grant is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Grant is trying to maintain a safe position but Black gets an underhook and turns Grant into the cage.
Black tries to score a body lock takedown but Grant shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black can't get the takedown.
Black tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Black tries for a takedown but Grant manages to get underhooks.
Black is working for takedown but Grant is calmly controlling the position for now.
Grant is looking to break free of the clinch but Black has double underhooks.

Black breaks the clinch.
Grant lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nice body punch from Grant.
Grant avoids the body shot from Black.
Grant cracks Black with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Black shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grant sprawls well. Grant wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Black gets slowly back to his feet.
Black takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Harvey Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Grant lands a big uppercut and Black crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Black looks OK. Grant waves Black back to his feet!

Harvey Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blast misses with a wild body shot.
Griswold tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blast swivels and escapes.
Blast fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Blast cracks Griswold with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Blast drives through and clinches with Griswold against the cage.
Blast is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Blast tries to break free but Griswold pushes him back against the cage.
