The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak tries for a takedown but Kaukalo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A jab from Kaukalo does it's job there.
Kaukalo throws a jab when Bak was well out of range.
Kaukalo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bak back to the cage. Kaukalo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Jong Bak has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Kaukalo.
Bak fails with the takedown.
Kaukalo misses with a two punch combination.
Kaukalo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bak momentarily.

Bak has control of Kaukalo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kaukalo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bak throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Kimble kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ecstasy Of Gold. The crowd seem to be enjoying MacRoberts's choice of entrance music: God Save the Queen by The Sex Pistols. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
