The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hennequano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hennequano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carneiro.
Carneiro fails with the takedown

and Hennequano counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Carneiro is trying to control but can't.
Carneiro is pressing down on Hennequano's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hennequano trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Carneiro manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Carneiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Hennequano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hennequano kicks Carneiro off and gets to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

so Hennequano counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carneiro is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hennequano has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Carneiro to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hennequano is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Carneiro pulls down on the head and he's put Hennequano to sleep! This one is all over!

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vincenzo Lauretta was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Lauretta tries to clinch but Tyson moves out of range.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch but Lauretta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tyson swings for the body but Lauretta moves out of range.
Lauretta leaves Tyson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lauretta wants to clinch.
Lauretta tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tyson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lauretta!
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Lauretta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tyson looks up at the clock and then as Lauretta takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tyson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Tyson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lauretta will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Tyson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lauretta for as long as he can get away with.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ax lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wilder circles away quickly and effectively.
Wilder slips a jab and a cross from Ax.

Wilder closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ax is looking to escape.
Ax tries to roll over but Wilder keeps him under control.

Wilder seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ax is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Reed has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mazaki is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Mazaki looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Reed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reed missing with a left hand there. Mazaki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Reed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mazaki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Reed takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Reed moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Mazaki is rocked!
Mazaki backs away from a small jab... but Reed lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Mazaki crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Reed with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Gunner Reed!
Gunner Reed decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
