The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lukuiama is defended easily by MIr.
MIr moves out of range of the body kick.
MIr tries to clinch but Lukuiama moves out of range.

MIr rushes Lukuiama and presses him up against the cage.
MIr landing knees to the body.
MIr lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lukuiama backwards.

Lukuiama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

MIr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lukuiama manages to get himself to full guard.

MIr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

MIr shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than MIr was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lukuiama struggling a bit here.
Lukuiama wants to get back to his feet but MIr drags him back down.

MIr has hold of Lukuiama's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lukuiama tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - MIr cranks the arm and Lukuiama screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lukuiama, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
