The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gros connects with a nice short shot to Stardust's temple.
Stardust on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stardust tries to get out of the position.

Strozyk felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Strozyk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bravo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schotborgh scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Schotborgh has Zerkle up against the cage in a clinch.

Zerkle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Schotborgh pulls his leg out and moves away.
Schotborgh uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Zerkle has his takedown stuffed

and Schotborgh counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Schotborgh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Zerkles head.
Schotborgh lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Zerkle or not.
A left hand lands to the body for Schotborgh.
Schotborgh has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A right handed body shot lands from Schotborgh.

Zerkle changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Schotborgh fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Michelangelo Schotborgh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Zerkle.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Schotborgh is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Schotborgh tries to bench press Zerkle off him but Zerkle keeps the position.

Schotborgh won't allow Zerkle to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Schotborgh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Schotborgh is staying active underneath Zerkle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michelangelo Schotborgh wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Zerkle shoots in looking for a takedown but Schotborgh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zerkle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Schotborgh dips to his left and cracks Zerkle with an uppercut!
Schotborgh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zerkle. Zerkle circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zerkle has his takedown stuffed

and Schotborgh counters by moving into the clinch.
Schotborgh pushes Zerkle back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Zerkle drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Zerkle is still on wobbly legs! Can Schotborgh finish him?
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Schotborgh.
Zerkle blocking some punches.
Schotborgh has a couple of punches blocked by Zerkle.
Schotborgh misses with a hook from the clinch.
Zerkle seems to have recovered his senses.
Schotborgh scores with a hook to the body.
Schotborgh's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Schotborgh throws a big uppercut that drops Zerkle! More strikes from Schotborgh and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Zerkle lies dazed against the cage as Schotborgh celebrates with his cornermen!
