Traverse comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mr. Grieves kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traverse takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Traverse has taken the fight to the clinch.
Traverse is pushing Sherbo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Sherbo breaks from the clinch.

Traverse fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sherbo to the ground. Traverse is now in Sherbo's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sherbo manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Traverse displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sherbo throws out the jab.
Sherbo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice takedown defense from Sherbo. No joy for Traverse on that attempt.

He tries to recover but Sherbo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Traverse is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Wexler has an Americana. Yikes didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wexler is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wexler hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Maccarone has his foot on Cruz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cruz works his way back into a safe position though.

Cruz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cruz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
